The Concern:
The tear trough is the area between your cheek and lower eyelid, A tear trough is a deep crease between the lower eyelid and upper cheek. It can cast a shadow below your eyes, resulting in a tired appearance. As we age, we lose volume in this area, causing under-eye dark circles, hollows, and eye bags to appear, alongside ageing this can also be due to genetics. Because facial tissues lose volume as you get older, we can also develop fine lines in this area adding to that tired and aged look. This is a very common area of concern for many of our patients.
The Solution:
The goal of a tear trough filler is to reduce the depth of a tear trough. It’s a nonsurgical method of facial rejuvenation. Tear trough treatment is a revolutionary procedure that gives the effect of an eye lift with none of the surgery involved. By using the best dermal filler for tear troughs, we can instantly give you a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. This treatment also improves skin quality by boosting collagen production and hydrating skin from the inside.
The Method:
Before receiving tear trough fillers, a trained medical professional will assess your lower eyelids. They’ll also check the texture and thickness of your skin. Additionally, they’ll determine what type of dermal filler is best for your needs.
Filler is then injected into the skin beneath your lower eyelid. A light massage is then required to help spread the filler out evenly and into the desired areas. A topical anaesthetic may be applied to the area to prevent bruising during the procedure.
The Results:
Tear trough treatment will achieve a smoother, younger, more rejuvenated appearance, with a noticeable reduction in under-eye bags and deep lines. The area under your eyelids will look fuller right away. However, it can take 1 to 2 weeks to see the full results.
Aftercare:
You’ll likely have some swelling, bruising, and redness as this is a very tender and quite thin area for application. These side effects usually improve after 48 to 72 hours. In some cases, under-eye fillers can often look slightly lumpy after the procedure. The lumpy appearance usually continues to improve over the 2 weeks after the procedure.
Post-treatment the following aftercare is generally recommended:
