The Concern:
Mesotherapy is effective on a wide range of problems on the face and body, and so patients can realistically be of any age or gender.

Mesotherapy is most used to treat and alleviate:

  • Dry, flaky skin
  • Tight skin
  • Loose, ageing skin
  • Dark circles around the eyes
  • Sun-damaged skin

This treatment is useful for facial skin rejuvenation and the client will more than likely need more than one treatment performed in an initial series of 2-4 treatments spaced 2-3 weeks apart, allowing a cumulative effect to occur for the body to slowly produce collagen and elastin over a certain period.

Mesotherapy is a great option for individuals wishing for extra glow on the skin, especially on the face and neck area.

The Solution:
Mesotherapy is a unique combination of art and science, where a series of micro-injections, with a unique blend of vitamins, hyaluronic acid, minerals, and amino acids, are injected into the mesoderm of the skin. Once the area is injected, it is stimulated to allow a faster healing time. Messengers in the skin stimulate new skin cells.
The vitamins provide an anti-deficiency function, the amino acids allow better protein construction and the minerals guarantee the ionic balance of the medium. Mesotherapy is also known as “skin-prick rejuvenation,” as it helps give your skin the boost it needs to look brighter and feel firmer, as well as fade the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

The Method:

Mesotherapy involves tiny superficial injections of a potent skin rejuvenating cocktail of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids. Miniscule amounts of a carefully chosen injectable solution are injected using a series of tiny injections. The nature of the injection solution is chosen according to the patient’s needs. It could include:

  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Vitamins and minerals
  • Hyaluronic acid

The technique uses very fine needles to deliver a series of injections into the middle layer (mesoderm) of skin.
As well as delivering these valuable substances direct to the skin’s mid layer, the mesotherapy process also stimulates the skin’s production of collagen and new skin cells, as the body’s natural response to the needle While the process can be slightly uncomfortable, the needles used in mesotherapy are extremely fine, so the procedure is a lot more comfortable than you’d think and shouldn’t be painful in any way.

The Results:

This depends on what you’re having treated; some patients can expect to see results after the first session, though many will be expected to attend two to three mesotherapy sessions before results are visible. Hyaluronic acid is quick to show a difference as this adds volume to the skin. Injections of vitamins/minerals require longer to take effect as this work to improve the quality of the skin from within.

Aftercare:

Because mesotherapy is non-invasive, there usually isn’t any downtime. Many people can return to their regular activities right away. As with any injectable treatments some swelling and redness may be apparent straight after treatment but this will diminish over the next 24 hours.
