The Concern:

Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) is a condition that can affect any gender and any age group. Whilst it is very normal and healthy to sweat if you get hot or do exercise, you may be sweating excessively if you’re sweating when your body does not need to cool down. In the Winter it can be bad enough but during the summer months, this uncomfortable condition can go from bad to worse as our natural cooling method increases causing this problem to increase significantly.

The Method:

Your appointment begins with the area being gently cleansed of any dirt and remaining deodorant.
Ensuring it is clean and hair-free, a solution is then be applied to highlight your sweat glands and the area to be treated is marked by one of our specially trained clinicians.
When you receive injections directly into the area of your body that commonly sweats, your overactive nerves are essentially paralyzed. When your nerves can’t signal your sweat glands, you don’t sweat.

For this treatment several injections are inserted into each gland, relaxing the muscle, and instantly stopping it from producing sweat offering you quick relief from this problem.
These are fine needles and relatively low pain; however, your clinician will be able to advise you if a numbing cream can be used to reduce discomfort.

The Results:

For those with excessive sweating, this treatment is life changing. After treatment, you can raise your arms without worry, and you no longer need more than one shirt a day! People who receive underarm injections tend to see results 2–4 days after treatment. The full effects are usually noticeable within 2 weeks.

Aftercare:
